I was definitely taking the "Tough love" approach because I've read countless times on this and other boards, how Mormons claimed that they were cool with their SO not being Mormon, and that they weren't, themselves, orthodox. In fact, the church is designed to help people come unto Christ, who is the only one who can change our hearts and help us overcome ourselves to come back to him. Everyone has their own sins and impure thoughts they need to overcome.
I have many friends and members of my family who married within the church and later divorced. The important thing is whether or not your spouse will support you in your endevours to live your religion.
I disagree with the doctrines and practices of the LDS church.
